CASA DEPARTMENT

At Angelicum Immanuel Montessori, our CASA Department offers a thoughtfully prepared environment where young learners embark on a journey of discovery, independence, and community.

In our mixed-age classrooms, children are immersed in meaningful, hands-on experiences that nurture their natural curiosity and passion for learning. Through observation and collaboration, younger students learn from older peers, while older students gain leadership skills and confidence by mentoring their younger classmates.

Children engage daily in activities across these core areas:

• Practical Life: Care of self and environment, food preparation, and fine motor coordination.
• Sensorial Exploration: Refinement of the senses through structured materials designed to build cognitive foundations.
• Language: Development of vocabulary, reading readiness, and expressive communication.
• Mathematics: Concrete exploration of quantity, number concepts, and early operations.
• Cultural Studies: Introduction to geography, science, art, and music to cultivate a global perspective.
• Grace and Courtesy: Social development through lessons in respect, kindness, and peaceful conflict resolution.

Our Montessori-trained teachers serve as careful observers and guides, connecting each child with activities best suited to their individual stage of development.
